It’s Sunday and the long weekend is coming to an end already. Not going to do much today. On 1Malaysia Day, we decided to check out the newly renovated old wing of 1 Utama. Jusco has moved and its supermarket and eatery are on the same block now. It was pretty confusing to walk around the old wing. I could not find some of my favourite stores. There are new ones like Cotton On Kids (Yay! no need to travel all the way to Sunway Pyramid) shoe stores and restaurants. We had lunch at C.i Xpress which serve Hong Kong style food. They are a part of the Dragon-i chain. Its concept is similar to a well-known restaurant in Hong Kong whereby patrons place their orders at the cashier. There is a menu board next to the cashier, pay and take a number. When your number is shown on the food counter, you have to go and collect it.
I did not take any photos of the food. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. We ordered Ice Coffee Hong Kong style and sad to say, they were pretty bad. I prefer the Ice Coffee from KimGary. After lunch, we walked over to the new wing. Left the mall after spending 5 hours there. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Fun to go shopping in KL/Petaling Jaya…. only setback is the parking, right? Over here in Ipoh, easier to park but then no fun cos the malls are so small… nevertheless, it is nice to have a long weekend!
Really? They have Cotton on Kids there now? Geez, I’ve been there several times and didn’t even notice. I was shopping more at the Jusco SUpermarket.
Oh the renovation is finished? Hmm, wish to check it out one day…
Yalor, we went to 1 Utama too but can’t find the food court and Jusco supermarket liao, sigh… later ended up buying grocery in Cold Storage pulak.
I’m still on leave, muahahaha!!
I seldom go to 1U old wing. Most of the time spend on new wing and then my feet ache already. Give up walking, lol~
oh that;s nice that they have Cotton On Kids at One Utama and you;re right! Dont have to travel all the way to Sunway Pyramid for it!
Old wing reno over jor? Should check that out soon. Thanks for sharing and glad to know that now got cotton on at One Utama! No need to go to Sunway! Yay!
I didn’t notice Cotton On Kids there too although I’ve been going there so often. Hmm, must go hunt for it on my next visit 🙂 Btw, I browsed COK in its homeland when I was in Melb but didn’t manage to get anything cos I found everything too expensive, after the x3 currency exchange! Better to just shop in 1U :p
wow, really more expensive over there? how come eh? the ones here is cheaper 2 for RM60, 2 for RM30 🙂
I’d definitely go to COK at 1U that Sunway (hubs calls is the great PYRAMID MAZE) … thx but boo hoo hoo.. i wish i didn’t spend on a real birkenstock ! I could have bought 2 pairs of COK’s
1U used to be my place of hanged out during college time. So long did not visit this shopping mall already…
