This is a continuation of our trip to Langkawi recently 🙂 A must visit place for us each time when we are there is the Nam Restaurant at Bon Ton Resort. I heart this unique resort. It is just minutes drive away from the main beach of Pantai Cenang. A hidden gem if you asked me.  Bon Ton is built on the grounds of a 100 year old coconut plantation and features traditional Malay houses that are beautifully restored into luxurious villas, a pool/jacuzzi as well as the Nam restaurant.  This restaurant offers a fusion of western and eastern cuisine and is regarded as one of the best restaurants in Langkawi. Food is quite expensive but delicious. Below are some pics of our lovely lunch.
The Nam Restaurant. It overlooks a lotus lagoon. This place is so relaxing. You can see the peak of Mount Mat Cincang on the horizon and I read somewhere that the sunset view is just breathtaking.

The private dining room
A sitting area. Love the antique furniture and decors.
Bon Ton Resort and Restaurant is eclectic and full of character. Oh I forgot to add that there are many cats roaming in this place. There are also dogs in a caged compound. It all started when Bon Ton Restaurant in KL began rescuing and sheltering street dogs and cats. So when the owner, Narelle came to open this island branch, she brought the animals along. Thus, the Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary Foundation (LASSie) was set-up to receive, rehabilitate and care for neglected, abused and needy animals. The cats we saw are so cute and chubby. Ashley had a great time talking to them but you know how cats are. They are so cool and couldn’t be bothered at all *chuckle* We look forward to returning soon.
Oh drats, I’d missed this place when I was there in November. Somemore I was staying so near by.
oh..how was your Langkawi trip? You were staying in Pantai Cenang? Never mind..can make another trip there before baby arrives 🙂
Chicken Schnitzel looks so yummy. Langkawi is famous with seafood. Did you try the seafood?
The food is great and so does the scenery. Lil missy looks so cute in her “emmm-my-favourite-pink-drink” expression.
