Giving My Old Lanterns An Updated Look

I bought a pair of Vietnamese lanterns last year to hang at the porch.  After a year, the colours on one side of the lanterns are fading.  Inspired by Sasha’s feat last year, I decided to give my lanterns a makeover.

Can you see the lighter shade on one side?

I used some fake peonies and cherry blossom to cover the fading part of the lanterns 🙂  This is the first time I use a glue gun and I got burned a few times…hehehehe.

Ta da…..  here are my lanterns after the makeover.  I spent about rm30 on the fake peonies and cherry blossoms for this DIY.
