tales from the school

Ashley told me last night that she was made to sit in front by her teacher.  I asked her why and she said it’s because she wasn’t concentrating.  Our conversation went like this :-

Me :  “Why were you not concentrating in class?

Ashley : “I was looking at my ruler“.

Me : “Ahh…you must listen and pay attention in class.  But it’s good to sit in front huh?  At least you can see the board clearly and also you can hear the teacher clearly“.  I was trying to make the situation look good 😛

Ashley :  “I wish the teacher won’t talk so loudly and be so angry“.  She was sulking away.

Me :  “Your teacher has to speak loudly because there are 40 kids in class.  She wants to make sure that everyone hears her especially those who are sitting at the back.  Therefore, she has to speak loudly.  It’s not that she’s scolding you“.

Ashley : “When I was sitting at the back, I can hear her clearly.  She doesn’t have to shout.  Can you go to the school tomorrow and scold her please?”

Hahaha! I heard numerous tales from my girl too, mostly about her classmates.

But these girls still haven’t adjust themselves to the “real school, mean teachers”, kindergarten’s teachers are a lot nicer (bcos the school fees is higher), lol.

That is hilarious… Kids say the funniest things at times.. Hope she is enjoying school! 🙂

*sigh* she’s not actually. we send her to a Chinese school and she has been saying that she doesn’t understand Mandarin 🙁

lol! But, cannot scold teacher lo! My place here, many parents are trying so hard to bribe teachers, buying gifts not only on Teacher Day, on CNY, on Moon Cake Festival, also they give teacher gifts. You sure know the reason right?

  13. *sigh*…..
My Ashley asked the same thing too…

this is funny! would be nice to know what would have been the teacher’s response if you did confront the teacher.

i get my loads of tales too daily (and i’m thanking my lucky stars that my girl tells me). RL sits right at the front from day 1 coz she’s so petite but she was sitting by the front door and i didn’t like it coz she gets distracted easily. then the cutting hair incident happened yesterday and now she’s sits right in the middle at the front of the class. lol!

hope ashley will soon like her school. RL is beginning to this week and told me that she likes school a litte now. before this, she complaints everyday that she doesnt want to go to school.

our kids are funny eh? i really hope ashley looks forward to school. she always say that she doesn’t know mandarin and the only days she’s a lil happier are the ones where english lessons are taught 🙁

  17. NAUGHTY TEACHER !!! hehhehehe.. did you scold lao tze ?

  18. Ann says:

Oh gosh….I can imagine how she feels. It’s hard to pay attention all the time yea Ashley! 🙂
