A couple of weeks ago when we were in Mid Valley, I came across this beautiful window display at Metrojaya.
Do you know what is so unique about this? The flowers, leaves and branches in this window are all cut-outs from cardboard boxes. Simply marvellous eh? You all know how much I love recycled crafts, especially those from cardboard boxes, right? I stood in front of this window for a few good minutes just admiring the display. I must applaud the creative team who did this. How eco-friendly! Really not easy to carve them out. There is more actually. When I went inside the store, I could see various props using recycled cardboard boxes too. I didn’t snap a photo of them though. Hope to do so again when we drop by Mid Valley. Hmm…I wonder what would happen to these displays once they change the theme.

ohh i saw that they used some sewing paper for deco at the concourse area and i thought.. wah this is even more exp than paper. but they decorated the entire concourse and it looked beautiful and then i also thought.. what are they gona do with the paper once they are done? this one also .. the theme is recycle but then .. did they use new corrugated or old ones? if old ones then kudos.. but then if use new one i hope they recycle it 🙂

Nice one! But I can’t have the same effect with a pair of scissors and cardboard, right? Will get numb fingers after those mass cutting :s

I think they would most likely be given away to the staff once the theme is over. Or perhaps you could enquire from the Mgmt of Mid Valley to have them? LOL!
