halloween craft for children

Halloween is almost here and although we don’t celebrate it, I thought it would be fun to do some Halloween craft with Ashley.  I found a simple Halloween craft from Pinterest and once I have done gathering more information on how to reformat hard drive, we started our project on Saturday night.   Our craft material consists of toilet paper tubes and orange paper.

Wrapped the tube with the paper

I drew the faces on the tubes and Ashley helped me to colour them.  I also did a ghostly one using white paper.

I tied a string on the toilet paper tube and hang it on the door.  We just created 2 spooky door hangers 🙂

When we were at the mall on Friday, the missy was asking for a plastic pumpkin pail for trick-o-treating.  She saw one like in the picture below.  In fact, every year, she has been asking for one.  Since I know she’ll just toss it aside after playing with it for a while, I told her that I will make her one instead of buying it.

I found a plastic Maggi-in-a-bowl in my craft box.  I kept this after eating the Maggi Mee.

Wrapped the bowl with orange paper

Drew a scary pumpkin face on the bowl, punched two holes at the side and tied it with a black string.

A happy camper with her mini pail/bowl.  She quickly put some sweets in it and went around saying “Trick-o-Treat”

That’s very nice! You are really good in all these crafts. And I’m just wondering — what do you do with all these crafts after Ashley gets bored with them?

  2. Yan says:

lol with Shireen’s question. Yes, I have problem in keeping those crafts after my girls get bored with them.

Anyway, these are very nice crafts for Halloween.

A good idea, Barb~ I have many toilet paper tubes and I almost throw them away (after keeping for several months, in case my girl needs it). Will go and look for orange paper now 🙂

    I don’t celebrate Halloween too.

  5. Very nice craft for halloween. Though not celebrating, it is worthwhile to craft with the child.

Really nice! I’ll bookmark this for the future. He he…I think Elyssa will be too scared of these Halloween craft at this point!

Hahaha….didn’t know that Halloween is around the corner until I saw this in your blog! Drape your child with a piece of white towel or blanket before letting her carry the pumpkin bowl – this will complete the Halloween look! 🙂
