Rock Climbing Gym For Children

Yesterday we went to Putrajaya to check out the cycling track at the Challenge Park as hubs and Ashley wanted to go cycling there. The track was awesome and there is also a skateboarding/roller blading concrete surface for the enthusiasts. Since the mountain bike trail was pretty challenging and Ashley still needs some practice riding her bike, we decided to look for a park where there is less slopes.  We passed by the Rock Climbing complex and missy said she wants to check it out.  The Rock Climbing Gym is massive!  I was a little scared when I saw how high the walls are but missy said she’s not scared.  We signed her up for 1 hour @ RM25 an hour plus RM5 for the rental of the safety harness.  There is also a personal coach to help her.  She climbed 5 walls yesterday.

Climbing requires creative thinking and kids learn to focus, concentrate and persevere.  It also helps them to gain confidence too.  I’m glad that Ashley enjoys this and she wants to go again.  If you are wondering where to bring the kids this school holiday, you may want to check out this Rock Climbing Gym at the Challenge Park, Putrajaya.  There is no telephone number to contact so you have to google for the map on how to get there.

Ashley is so brave! And you are also very brave to let her try. The other day at Mid Valley at one of the apparel shops, there’s this rock climbing thing on the wall opened to the public to try. Alycia wanted to climb it but I said NO. I am pretty morbid when it comes to heights :O I think it’s partly caused by me witnessing my friend fall from a 2-storey high bamboo tower when I was 16YO 🙁

These climbs are pretty safe as there is a safety harness belt and a guide to help the climber. The one at MV also has the same thing which Ashley has tried twice. It’s opened to public but have to pay for the climbs..hehehe. Maybe you can let Alycia try one of them. I’m sure she would enjoy it.
