Road Trip to Deerland Park, Lanchang, Pahang

This is a continuation of my earlier post on our visit to Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Center last weekend.  Right after we have visited the elephants, we stopped by the Deerland Park which is about 2 km away.

The entrance fee is RM7 per adult and RM4 for children 12 years and below.  The park is privately owned and it’s like a mini zoo.  Lots of animals to see in there such as deer (of course) where we can feed them, prairie dogs, rabbits, bengal cats, birds, chicken and plenty of reptiles like the blue-tongue skink, snapping turtle, iguanas, pythons and more.

We enjoyed visiting this place as there are many fascinating animals to see.

The bearded dragon.  I took this photo while standing far away.

Then we came upon this – The Python keeper and the Burmese Python.  Eeeeeeeeeeeee. I wonder if he’s going to sit here all day with the python, waiting for visitors?  Ain’t it a boring job?

And missy is not afraid and put the python around her neck.  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.  Again, I stood far away when taking this photo.  Far away from the moving head of the python…..

The Deerland Park is a nice place to visit especially if you have children.   It’s like a mini petting zoo and not as smelly as I thought it would be.
