A Visit To Don Don Donki In Lot 10

Since this week is a one-week school break for missy, I decided to take a day off and brought her to downtown and visit Don Don Donki in Lot 10.  Don Don Donki is a popular discount chain store in Japan and also the largest one.  This huge chain store has over 160 stores across Japan and is filled with Japanese snacks, food items, beverages, groceries like raw beef, seafood, fruits, beauty products and clothes.

We have never been to Japan so I don’t know how popular Don Don Donki is.  Another reason why we went to check out this store is because I discovered that there is a section selling all things Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demonslayer).  As missy is into Anime now and she loves Kimetsu No Yaiba very much, I thought it would be nice for her to check out the things there.
Missy asked her friend to come along and the 3 of us took the LRT train downtown. We started our journey at 9am and reached the Hang Tuah Station at about 9.30am.  Then we switched to the MRT and got off at Bukit Bintang Station which is just next to Lot 10.  Once we reached Lot 10, we realized that we have to go up to the 3rd floor to enter Don Don Donki.  There were news about people who had to queue up from the ground floor all the way to the 3rd floor to enter.  We were glad that it only took us about 15 mins to queue up.
The first section we saw was the Kimetsu No Yaiba merchandise which is on the left of the entrance.  I didn’t take any photos of that section.  The items consist of keychains, soft toys, posters and more.

The items are not cheap and missy bought a keychain for her friend as a birthday gift.  She did not get anything for herself.
I did not get to browse longer at the beauty section as the crowd was starting to come in.  I managed to get a Biore sunblock (RM19) which is a good price.  We went downstairs and check out more food items.
Check out the price of the Coke Zero
Colourful Nissin noodles
All kinds of coffee
More coffee
Saw this Instant Clam / Shell Fish soup that cost RM7 I think.  Was tempted to buy but in the end, I didn’t.
So neatly packed.  Just add hot water to cook the soup.
Our loot from Don Don Donki that day.  Instant Miso Soup paste, Biore sunblock, a container of anchovies/almond snack and a Kimetsu No Yaiba badge (not in the picture). I paid RM2 for the shopping bag.  Plastic bags are given for free.  One cool thing about shopping there is after the payment is made, the cashier does not put your items into the shopping bags.  You can pack them yourself or if you need help, you can bring all the items to the packing area which is near the exit and their staff will help you to pack everything in.  This is to reduce the waiting session at the cashier counters.
My friend who visited Don Don Donki on the opening day bought this Horse Oil for me.  It was selling for RM23 which is cheaper than what I paid for in Isetan last year.  This is a good buy.   After Don Don Donki, we walked over to Pavillion for some shopping.  The mall was not packed at all.
