Hey Peeps. We’re back from a short stay in Malacca. Since Ashley’s exam is over, we decided to make a short trip to this historical city which is one of our favourite destinations 🙂 Let me bore you with what we did there. First stop was the Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary.
The missy who couldn’t wait to check out the butterflies
Ashley was talking to the bird which knows how to say Hello and scream like a child. She asked the bird if it knows the peacock/peahens at the next cage *chuckle*
There were many beautiful butterflies at the special enclosure. Even saw two that were busy making babies 🙂
After the butterflies, we crossed over the koi pond which is behind the waterfall.
Lots of tadpoles in the water
The missy had loads of fun feeding the hungry koi fishes. They are so beautiful. After the feeding session, the fishes would swim in a row and head to the other side of the pond.
Besides butterflies, there are many different types of birds, creepy crawlies, gibbons, chameleons, snakes, insects, crocodiles, leopards and tortoises at the farm.
I even found cute elephants fridge magnets at the Butterfly Sanctuary. Of course, Ashley wanted the green monkey because it has a pink face. It was a fun trip for us. We left the place after spending about 1.5 hours there. Do stay tuned on where we went next.
Ashley is becoming prettier, hehe 😉
Looking forward to the next post!
thank you 🙂
Nice outing @ Malacca!~ Beautiful Ashley with colourful butterfly!~
thank you 🙂
Woo, i like the fridge magnets alot!
Glad ya’ll had such a great time there. Ashley looks so sweet! 🙂
thank you 🙂
I always want to go Melacca, but it is too far from my place. Sigh. You were already there 3 times in these 2 years, am I right?
hehhehe…yes we have been there 3 times 🙂 surprised that you notice it 🙂 next up, i hope to visit you 😉
Melaka…..again?? Ha ha, you must really like it there!
I never dared to enter the Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary since I’m absolutely terrified of snakes. Just the thought of being in close proximity to one gives me the creeps!
yes, I love the charming Melaka city 🙂 oh..you should have seen the chameleons. dozens of them in the pit which is not locked up. there are plenty of snakes too….huge ones *yikes*
so this butterfly park is worth going?? will make a trip there next year.. 🙂
yes it’s worth it if you like to see reptiles and butterflies 🙂
I think my kids would enjoy feeding the fishes, like Ashley. I had great time feeding fishes in our lake garden here during my childhood 🙂
Oh, I couldn’t recognize the green monkey. I thought it was a chameleon ~
Ashley was talking to the bird? Hehe…I thought only Gwen would do that. 🙂 This taman looks interesting…not bad. The fridge magnets are really cute.
Butterflies are still ok to me but reptiles… err, no thank you! I have reptile phobia esp snakes and anything from the lizard family *shivers* The elephant fridge magnets are very cute though 🙂
Been there many many years back.
