last day of school

Today is the last day of school. I am having mixed feelings because it is Ashley’s last day at the kindergarten. Can’t help remembering the first time I sent her to the kindergarten when she was 4.  In 1.5 months time, my baby will be in the ‘Big School’ (that’s what she has been telling me excitedly).  Time to cut loose those apron strings. I felt kinda sad walking her into her school this morning because she would have to say Goodbye to her teachers and friends later.  Ok, let’s move on to what I prepared for her friends in school today.

I bought some cookies since I don’t have an oven to bake them 🙂

Spent last night cutting out the heart shapes from red wrapping papers and glued them onto the dollies.  My hubby who was busy reading the Nitro RC Cars magazine even stopped to help me glue them 🙂

Arranged the cookies in the zip bag

Nom Nom…all ready for the kids.

Ashley is a big girl now, she must be proud of herself! Auntie Barb, I always admire you for your concern towards every little aspect of Ashley life including this, making presents for her friends, such a sweet thoughtful idea. My Mom would never do so, Ashley should be glad and I truly believe she will…
Sorry for being a silent reader all of this time, hope nothing but the best for little Ashley, nice weekend Auntie *hugs

thanks for your kind words Angie. I enjoy preparing all these for the kids as I love giving ppl surprises, especially children 🙂 I miss reading your posts. How are you doing?

knowing that qiqi was very fragile, shy, always out of place, out from friends group, i was very very sad when qiqi left kindi, a well-loved place where teacher care for the kids with all their heart, right to taking care of every kids (and moms feeling).

It wasn’t easy for me seeing fragile qiqi going into highly populated chinese primary which is like a war zone to me. But surprisingly she LOVES that crazy environment and got back her happiness and self confidence (not academically but as in individual) and was very well-loved by friends and teachers.

    Funny right?

ahh…great to know that qiqi is back to own self. she’s going to enjoy her school life 🙂

Nice! I bet all the kids loved it 🙂 I made some party packs for Chloe’s class party too but I’m not as rajin as you. I just threw some junkfood and candies into zip-lock bags and sealed them up. Easy-peasy :p
