a walking stick and a horse

Last weekend when we were at Daiso, hubs was looking for a flexible metal hose but ended up buying a walking stick.  For the life of me, I cannot understand why he wants to get it.  He said it will be good when we go hiking.  I’m like, what?  When did we ever go hiking? We hardly even go to the park *roll eyes*  I think he just a shopaholic.  Anyway, the missy had the most fun with the walking stick.  She was using it as a stick horse, galloping around the house.  An idea struck me and I told Ashley that I will make her a stick horse to play with 🙂

The first thing I got is one lonely sock.

s2

Got ready 2 brown cloth, 2 buttons and some twines.

s3

I stuffed the sock with a hand towel and ashley’s old t-shirt.  Then I sew the 2 pieces of brown cloth onto the sock as ears and the buttons as eyes.  Next I sew on the twines as the horse’s mane.  Does it look like a horse’s head?

Last but not least, insert the stick into the sock.  Ashley insisted that we must add a dash of pink onto the horsey by securing the sock with a pink ribbon

The happy girl was thrilled.  Giddy yap giddy yap let’s go…….
