I watched the final tribute to Lydia Shum on tv (Astro – Wah Lai Toi) this afternoon which was broadcast live from TVB, Hong Kong. I understand that the show was also shown live in Singapore, Australia, Canada and USA. Besides her family, many Hong Kong stars and close friends came to pay tribute to Fei Fei. As usual, no one could control their emotions. I, of course, started bawling when the video of her funeral in Vancouver was played. Joyce gave such a touching eulogy in English. She began by saying this :-
“Have you ever seen a shooting star? They are rare and you can only see them in the sky for a moment. When they appear, they glisten and shine. Mum, you were my shooting star. It is not your infectious smile or your trademark hairstyle or glasses that I will remember, because these were not the elements that made you. You were always the shimmering shooting star in yourself.“

Something shocking happened during the final tribute live show just now. When it was Alan Tang’s (Lydia’s god-brother) turned to give his speech, he lashed out on Adam Cheng, Lydia’s ex-husband. Alan Tang asked him how he treated Lydia and where he was during Lydia’s last stage. He also dared Adam Cheng to come onto the stage to explain. It was really a heart-stopping moment ;D Of course Adam Cheng went up onto the stage with Joyce in tow and explained himself. Don’t know how true his explanations were đ Anyway, the tribute lasted about 2 hours and at the end of the show, everyone came on stage and place a flower on the stage as a mark of respect to Lydia and to bid her farewell. *sniff sniff*
Very sad to know that Lydia shum leaving us, wish she go to peaceful world.

oo adam tseng kena taruked ah? i missed that part. But before that i saw the interview of Lydia Shum with another guy. She told about the story why they got married, how she got pregnant and then divorce.
Aarrrggg..i miss the show! đ I totally forgot about it.
I was shocked to read that she passed away. I didn’t know she was sick because she always looked so colorful and graceful, know what I mean?
