Do you know that you can get 20% Toll Rebate if you are a Touch & Go card user? I just found that out a few days ago. This is a frequent travellers programmed sponsored by the government for qualified Touch n Go card users who use the card on all tolled highways. They started this programme back in 2009 and I only found that out recently *roll eyes*
So here is the deal. You have to use the Touch n Go card a minimum of 80 times on any toll highways in Malaysia within a month. 20% rebate is given to the cardholder according to the transaction amount.
How To Do It
You need to go to their website – https://privilege.touchngo.com.my/ and register. Just key in your details and the Touch n Go card number. Once done, you can login and check how much rebate you have in your card. That is if you have been using your card for some time and make 80 transactions and more a month. In our case, we have RM340 in rebate! We pay a minimum of rm200 on toll each month. Hubs has been using this card for more than a year and honestly, I don’t know how the rebate is calculated in our case. Well, as long as we get RM340, I’m pretty happy.
Once I found out about the rebate, I went to the one of the rebate centers which is listed here – https://privilege.touchngo.com.my/index.php?mod=tng_mod_leftmenu&id=9. Just bring the card along and the staff at the counter would scan the card to check the balance. Then he/she would credit the rebate into your card.
