Time sure past really fast when you are having fun. It’s already a week since we welcomed the Year of the Horse. It was so much fun to go back to Ipoh and meet all my dear relatives and my besties. I wish time would slow down just a bit when we were having fun.
This is my Chinese New Year decor for this year. Pussy Willows decorated with red paper doilies from Unikbarang 🙂
On Chinese New Year Eve, I decided to cook Lap Mei Rice for our Reunion Dinner. Hubs bought some roast duck and I also made a dish of braised vege to go with the rice. I feel it is better to eat at home with our families than to go out to a restaurant. This is what my family did when I was a kid and I would like Ashley to experience it.
Besides spending time with families, relatives and friends, Chinese New Year is about feasting too. We had a 10-course dinner on Day 1 and a great steamboat on Day 2 at one of the new restaurant in Ipoh. The above is for 7 people. We ordered more later. *burp*
Today is the Day 8 of the Lunar New Year and there will be more celebration this weekend with our friends. So how is your Chinese New Year?
Can tell you are having a great time Barb =)
Very nice chinese new year deco at your home! Oh, lap mei fan? My favorite.
