Down To Bones OUG – New Location

Down To Bones, the famous BBQ Pork Ribs master has moved to a new location. Fret not, they are still in OUG, just 2 streets away from the old place. Now, everyone can enjoy their yummy food in a cozy and hip environment. Congratulations to this group of youngsters who have taken their business to a new level.

They just opened their doors on Saturday 3rd June 2017. That explains all the pretty flowers you see in this photo. You may not find them after a week or so. The signboard is quite unobtrusive and I guess it is done like this on purpose. Very minimalist. I like that the charm of this old shoplot is retained. In case you still cannot locate Down to Bones, it is just diagonally opposite Ah Loy Curry Noodle and FnC (Fun and Cheer) shop.

Here is the kitchen/work area where the food is cooked. It is just right at the entrance.

Once you step inside, you will be greeted by these 3 big Chinese letters in red. It means Eat Pork Ribs, if I am not mistaken. Very nice!

On the other side of the wall, you will find some shiny metals shaped like ribs, hanging on the wall. They sway gently when the wind blows, creating a soft bell-like sound. It is very soothing and calming.

Simple decor with steamer racks on the ceiling. Who would have thought of using them as decor eh?

Here is the new menu. They have more food choices now which is good.

Hubs ordered the ribs and he was quite upset as the rib was pretty small. We looked at the tables next to us and can’t help comparing the size of their ribs. I guess it depends on your luck as not every piece is the same size. The taste is just as good and despite the size, we enjoyed eating it.
