Murals In Ipoh

During the recent school break, we discovered some murals in Old Town Ipoh. These murals are along the 2nd Concubine Lane (Yee Lai Hong). If you spot some red umbrellas along the alley before reaching Kong Heng coffeeshop, that’s the 2nd Concubine Lane.

This mural of an old man loading up his goods onto the trishaw was painted by   Ernest Zacharevic.   I have been looking for this mural for a long time and I’m so happy that my sister showed me where it is located.

Further away is this painting of a few people in a coffeeshop. I think is done by a local artist. It depicts what Ipoh is famous for – white coffee and food.

A few steps away is a painting of 3 children jumping happily.

I love seeing all these murals.  I hope to find more murals on my next trip back to Ipoh.
