V-Day Dinner

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, even during the courtship days.  You can tell how unromantic we are.  Hubs said it’s because we are Capricorns, who are known to be practical and prudent 😀   I wanted to have steamboat after seeing a new restaurant in the flyer last week.  Therefore, we decided to give this new place a try.  Unfortunately, we had misplaced the flyer but hubs said he knew where this restaurant is. Off we went and after 30 mins, we still couldn’t find the restaurant.  So we gave up and went to another one.  Should have looked up the gps map as soon as we saw the flyer.  Anyway, we went to this place …..

I ordered the chicken soup base.

This was my set.  It cost rm27.

I forgot to take a pic of hubs’ order.  He took the beef set which consist of a plate of 20 slices of beef, vege, mushrooms and tofu.  The steamboat was ok, nothing special about the food.  We were out for almost 2 hours and on the way back, the lil missy who was at home with her grandma, called me on the handphone.  She asked why we were still not back yet and why we were taking so long to have our dinner.  Doesn’t she sound like a mother-in-law?

My hubs doesn’t believe in celebrating Vday cos he says that eateries will try to ‘tong’ patrons on that day, so I suggested to bring MIL and kids to Chinese restaurant instead – even more unromantic than you…hehe…however, we’ll be having dinner 2moro, just the two of us :p

hahahahahaha ….. your little MIL called you during your v dinner?? Kekekekeke. But you are better then me, at least you gets to enjoy your v day with your hubby ALONE. Unlike me, we went out 3 person and it looks more like hubby is celebrating V day with our little missy and I am the ‘light bulb’ that night coz she just wants to stick to hubby like a leech (not even SHARING). She doesn’t even let us HOLD HAND!! @_@

I am a capricorn too but on v day, normally I will lost my practicality most of the time, hehehehehe 😛

  11. sheohyan says:

Hey, you went out dinner alone with your husband, still claimed that you were not celebrating. Your dinner was indeed a very good celebration for V-day.

  12. yvonne says:

Regardless what restaurant you went, still it’s a v-day date with your hubs. Psst… hardly got chance when lil missy is not around.

I was supposed to have a double date on that day. My hubs and I, with Avery and lil Chi. Alas, hubs had something to do and I ended at my parents’s house with the kids… hihi!

  13. Mummy Gwen says:

We also didn’t celebrate. We ate at home only.

  14. Adrine says:

I also don’t go for all those V day dinner sets cos I think it’s not worth it. And hubby told me long time ago that I can expect flowers anytime of the year EXCEPT on V day. Ha ha… guess we are very practical people too!
