While walking back from Pasar Malam (Night Market) yesterday, I saw a white van at the far corner with many people lining up to buy some food. When I walked closer, I saw that the van was selling Stinky Tofu (fermented tofu). I thought they no longer sell them at the Pasar Malam in my area because I could hardly smell it. Normally we could smell it in the air every Thursday 🙂 Don’t know what happened to me last night. I decided to buy some to try…hahahahahaahaha. They are really smelly but when eaten together with some pickles, you can hardly taste/smell the acrid odour 😀 I asked Ashley if she wanted to try some and she said…”eeeewwwwwwwww”. Hubs didn’t want anything to do with them either and sat really far away from the dining table. If I tell him that they are great fat burners for men, I bet he would take a bite *chuckle* Have you tasted them before?
Tofu that stink to high heaven
I tried one bite last year when i was in Hong Kong, like you said, it is smelly, but the taste still ok, not too bad.
Ew, no thanks, you can have it all… and keep that petai away too LOL.
