Healthy Chinese Pancakes

Are you a big fan of “Tai Kau Meen“, also known as Chinese Pancake that is filled with peanuts and sugar?    I quite like them and would sometimes buy a piece from the Night Market.  Diet pills fat burners is what I would need if I were to eat this often. Last Thursday, my mom bought a piece of  ‘healthy’ “Tai Kau Meen” from the Night Market.  Why healthy?  Well it is made from five grains flour.  You can see the unique texture on the skin of the pancake.  It contains grains and nuts.  This is the first time I came across something like this.  Can you also see the green colour on the inside?  That is because it is pandan flavoured.  My mom said it tasted good.  It cost RM1.10 a piece while a regular one cost RM0.80 a piece.  Would you care to try one if you see it?

First glance at your photo, I thought it was a burger – sesame bun + lettuce + patty (those peanut filling looks like beef patty). Then the shape is a little distorted and my guess was, “Wow, Chinese burger!” Kakaka….

I don’t mind try this new version of tai kau meen. I usually have the normal one, because there’s only this one in my area :p

I am not a big fan of Chinese pancake, because of the fat in there. People already said I looked pregnant. 🙁 But this healthy one, I would love to try, and the price is reasonable.
