the night before mother’s day

On Saturday night, hubs brought us to our favourite Steamboat Restaurant for our favourite Tom Yam steamboat dinner.  Besides steamboat, we also ordered a plate of crabs.  *Yummy*  An early Mother’s Day celebration.  Didn’t take any photos of the steamboat but hubs took the crab ones using his mobile phone, hence the funny colour on the photos 🙂

Sweet & Sour Crab

Man Tou (Chinese Steamed Buns) to go with the crabs.  Super Crabilicious!   Then after dinner, we popped over to FnC, the wholesale place that sells lots of made in China goods and hubs stumbled upon his childhood toys – the classic army men.  Of course he has to get a packet.

It consists of brown army men

and green ones.

Both hubs and Ashley were busy playing with them after dinner 🙂  So how was your Mother’s Day celebration?

Whoa..that crab dish really make me salivate. We had Mother’s Day dinner at Italiannies.

Oh…I still remember my brothers used to play with those army toys.

Nice celebration! I got those army toys before but it was not my favourite. Your husband trying to make your daughter into a tomboy ah? hehe.

Anyway, i put honey for my popsicle. And yes, that popsicle mould is very easy to slide out. 🙂

Oh, that to-die-for-crab!! We didn’t celebrate the day because the father was outstation, working 🙁

My hubb would certainly get that pack of army toys if he spotted them, like you mentioned – his childhood toys.

Yummy crabs! We also had crabs (the soft-shelled ones) in a Japanese buffet on Sat nite Your Ashley played toy soldiers with her daddy, my Chloe played Hotwheels cars with her daddy 😉

Oh those green and white mini toy soldiers – my brothers and my hubby had those too over 30 years ago hehe! Your hubs is just like my hubs. Once in a while now, he would buy those toys that his mother deprived him of when he was a little boy ;P
