Burps & Giggles is one of the hippiest hangout place in Ipoh right now. It is located behind the Kong Heng coffeeshop and next to Sekeping Kong Heng, the famous boutique hotel. I have passed by this cafe twice when I was back to Ipoh earlier but didn’t go in to check it out. So when my friends visited Ipoh, they can’t wait to go because they have read reviews of this place. Burps and Giggles occupies two colonial-era buildings, one of which was a former dressmaker shop.
Eventhough we were so full from eating all the hawker food, we went in for a cuppa and some pastries and spent over an hour snapping photos. I love its rustic look and wish that my home looks like this…hahahaha. The whole place is decorated with eclectic things and it has a whimsical feel to it.
There are trees in the middle of the cafe. How cool is that?
Mural at the Lazy Lane which is at the back of the cafe.
There are lots of handmade signage, funny murals, wooden planks and old brick walls which I so love. Burps and Giggles is definitely a cafe you should drop by for good food and great ambiance.
They are also taking over the next shoplot and it will be called ‘Buku Tiga Lima‘ according to the owner, Julie Song whom we spoke to 🙂 Remember the Triple 5 book? I can’t wait!

Such an interesting place! Just heard about it 2 weeks ago and was so intrigued. (Elyssa went already but not me! *sobs*) But prices quite high hor? RM10 for a small cup of coffee. My SIL said bill was about RM80+ for 2 coffees, 2 drinks and 2 desserts.
hahahha…Elyssa is more happening than mommy eh? Oh yeah, the prices are steep 😛
