Over the Hari Raya break we went on our very first farm stay with our friends at Kee’s Farmstay in Pertang, Negeri Sembilan. The drive was about 2 hours going up and down hill which reminds me of Cameron Highland. We also passed by some quaint Malay villages. Our group consists of 3 families (6 adults and 5 children). We had steamboat and bbq dinner plus lots of beers. You can imagine the amount of luggages we brought along.
My friends stayed in the Family chalet which has 2 rooms with fans while we stayed in a single chalet with aircond. Not exactly farm stay huh? We had a great time eating and chatting. The only unpleasant thing during our stay was the flies which came in hundreds during meal time. They all disappeared at night. Anyway, the kids loved being in the farm as they went fishing, cycling, chasing after ducks, picking flowers and just running around freely. There was no tv or internet connection, just connection with Mother Nature. Below are some photos taken during our stay.

They went to the fishing pond to fish

Ducks and geese going for a morning walk
Daddy giving Ashley a ride on the bike. The look on her face is priceless!
It was great to wake up and smell the fresh air in the morning. Birds were chirping and we were awaken by the honking sounds of the geese which were just behind our chalet. Staying in a farm is a good way to leave behind the busy life and experience the simple things we take for granted. Nothing beats being outdoors. We are going back again at the end of the year 🙂
Never tried any farmstay before but it sure looks fun, especially with great company 🙂
Our family went there before with church friends. Lovely place to fish. We even bought the fishes caught.
I saw those lovely photos from your FB. I wish to bring Calvin to a farm just to watch chicken, ducks, geese and of course fishing as well.
But not a stay there…unless the chalet is provided with air cond. Muahaha…
It is definitely an enjoyable experience for Ashley and the rest.
This must be the new hit place in town huh? Saw a few of my friends went there lately.
wow.. nice stay…
What an interesting place to visit. Going with friends is more awesome eh. Love the photos. 🙂
Looking at the pix, I know my kids will enjoy the farm stay but not moi, muahaha!
