Keto diet is a high-fat, low-carb way of eating that forces the body to burn fat rather than carbohydrates. This diet offers many benefits such as weight loss, improved cognitive function, massive reductions in blood sugar and insulin levels as well as health benefits against diabetes, cancer, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease.
I have been following the keto way of eating for almost 3 years now. It is not an easy journey but the result is truly rewarding. I have managed to lose over 20 pounds and also improve my blood glucose (sugar) level.
The keto way of eating involves a lot of planning before a meal, whether at home, office or dining out. Sometimes I am too tired to meal prep and cook after a long day at work. Also, it is hard to find keto food in Kuala Lumpur. What I mean is cooked keto food. There are keto restaurants around but not many and they are usually located far away from where I am. If you are like me and are tired about thinking what to eat for lunch/dinner everyday, then you may want to check out Stapleeats, an online food delivery service specializing in affordable, healthy and simple keto food.
About Stapleeats
Founded in December 2019 by a pair of siblings and National MMA Fighter, Keanu Subba, who are all following the keto way of eating, Stapleeats is established on the idea that food is best way to prevent disease and to stay healthy.
All the food ingredients including sauces use by Stapleeats are Certified Organic, or natural, Gluten Free, Gmo-free, Msg Free, Grass-Fed, Free Range, Wild Caught and Vegetable Oil Free.
I was delighted to receive my meal from Stapleeats last week.
My keto food came in a brown paper bag. If you have been following my blog, you would know how much I love brown paper bags eh? I am going to recycle it *chuckle*
This is my Keto Wild Caught Prawn Sambal Nasi Lemak which comes in a bio-degradable box. How neat is that?
This Keto Wild Caught Prawn Nasi Lemak consists of organic cauli-rice cooked in coconut milk, organic free-range eggs, anchovies, walnuts, cucumbers and sugar-free sambal which is made with natural organic ingredients. Trust me, it is so delicious, nutritious and healthy! I am salivating while typing this post now. I also love how they use the banana leaves to serve and cover the food.
This is my Keto Blueberry Cheesecake which is their new dessert. Made from Almond flour, cream cheese, organic butter, erythritol and blueberries. This is by far the best keto cheesecake I have eaten. It is creamy, light and has a wonderfully balanced flavour. The base is just enough and does not crumble. It is a hearty slice and I think I can eat the entire cheesecake and not only one slice!
Have a look at what’s on the menu below:
They also have a meal planning package. Having keto meals delivered each week is definitely a game-changer. You know what you would be eating for lunch or dinner that day and it is the key to staying on-track in the keto journey.
