Missy and I took a short break back to Ipoh last Saturday together with my sister. We planned this trip a few weeks back and took the train to Ipoh. Since we were facing the unscheduled major water disruption in KL which began on Thursday, our trip back was good timing for us to leave KL last weekend.
We stayed in Bedrock Hotel Ipoh. What bliss! It was so comfortable and as the hotel is situated in a strategic location, I even woke up early and walked around to take some photos. During this trip, we managed to go to a few places and one of them is the Platf9rm Coffee & Brew Cafe, a Harry Potter themed cafe in Ipoh. This Instagram-worthy place is a must-visit for Harry Potter fans. Missy has been wanting to check this place out for ages but we haven’t been able to go back to Ipoh because of the Movement Control Order. We spent over an hour there drinking coffee and taking photos *chuckle* That’s the whole idea eh? I love that this cafe has retained the elements of the original pre-war shophouse. I have a thing for brick walls and the rustic texture of peeling paint.
