I have been hearing about the famous ICC Pudu food court from friends and social media, and finally I got the chance to visit this place with my sisters not too long ago. This popular hawker food court is frequented by the locals.
One thing that I was mentally prepared before stepping into this bustling food court was the stuffiness. It was really hot in there, especially when we were there on a scorching day. Be prepared if you plan on going there. Wear you thinnest t-shirt and shorts! While the heat is a bit overwhelming, you get to savor a wide array of local delicacies all under one roof. Here is what we had that day.

This is the famous Lintang 138 coffee. It is the first and only claypot coffee in KL. It means the coffee is brewed in a claypot and then poured in the cup. I had a cup of hot coffee with milk and no sugar. This coffee is very aromatic.
I ordered this ginger wine soup with egg from the famous ginger wine noodles stall. As I don’t eat noodles, I just opt for the soup with eggs and pork. It was served piping hot and so nourishing. I was sweating buckets after soup but it’s worth it.
My sister said this is the famous ‘Nian Gao’ or Kuih Bakul stall. The line was very long that day but moved fast. Nian gao is a sticky snack that is made from glutinous rice flour. They are usually eaten during Chinese New Year. This Imbi Kuih Bakul stall has sticky rice cake that is sandwiched between sweet potato and yam. It is then coated with batter and deep fried to golden brown. I ate one that day because I couldn’t resist them.
My sister also bought some kuihs from another stall. The “pak tong gou” and ma lai gou”” (steamed rice cake) are very good too.
If you are planning to go ICC Pudu hawker center, be prepared to wait for a table as this place is packed!
