Marshmallow Pops

Before I start to write about my first attempt at making Marshmallow Pops, I just want to say “YIPPEE” my blog is up and running again.  It was down since this morning.  I know some of you have visited my blog and saw an error message.  Thanks for dropping by.

Ok, so last weekend I decided to make some marshmallow pops after seeing them on Pinterest.

Got a packet of marshmallows

Colourful sprinkles and white baking chocolate

A packet of lollipop sticks.

Here’s what I did:-

1.   melt the chocolate

2.   insert the lollipop stick into the marshmallow

3.  roll the sides of the marshmallow in the chocolate coating.

4.  use a spoon to smooth out the sides if the choc coating is too thick.

5.  dip the marshmallow into the sprinkles

6.  lay them on a piece of wax paper and let it cool

Tadaa….my marshmallow pops are ready.  I also tried the above steps with some long cookies as I couldn’t find any pretzels.

I made some with dark chocolates too.

Marshmallow Pops are fun to eat for the kids.  It was pretty messy for a first-timer like me though.  I plan to make about 45 of them this Friday for Ashley’s class party.  Wish me luck!
