the auspicious colour

I have been decorating my home with dashes of red everywhere for the coming lunar new year.

Basket filled with Mandarin oranges

Another red basket with Mandarin oranges and lin koa on the table

Finally decorated the white branch with angpow lanterns

The plants at the porch are being ‘dressed up’ by my mom.

Can it get redder than this?

Your house really has the Chinese New Year “feel” with so many reddish decorative. I like the pair of lion (pillow?)

Nice! You always put in a lot of effort to decorate your house every year 🙂 This year we will be all alone (just the 3 of us) during CNY… far away from home and our loved ones. Cannot imagine how that feels! Happy CNY to you and your family, Barb!

awww…i know how it is spending CNY in another country. most importantly is that you have each other and are spending the new year with those who are dearest to you 🙂 Gong Xi Fa Cai.

  7. Nicely decorated. I like the tree with ang pow lanterns. I wish I can put up a tree in the house too. But as my mum said, my boy will go and put it down in less than a minute! Happy CNY to you and your family!
