Gong Hei Fatt Choy! How’s your celebration? Chinese New Year is an occasion for Chinese families to gather together to welcoming new things and getting ready for a new start. There are non-stop feasting starting from Chinese New Year Eve for the Reunion dinner until Day 15th. We went back to Ipoh on the First Day for a gathering with my family, relatives and friends. Day 1 and Day 2 were busy for us with endless feasting. Day 3 was relaxing and we spent the day in the hotel room, watching special Chinese New Year programmes on tv like concerts by our favorite Hong Kong celebrities and movies. I really enjoyed the tribute concert to Dr Joseph Koo who wrote many wonderful songs which I grew up with. Many Hong Kong singers performed the songs which were famous in the 80’s and 90’s. The concert was backed by a huge orchestra with all sorts of instruments, just like those you can find in guitar center dallas tx. I really recommend this tribute concert as it is a must-watch. Here are some photos taken during our Chinese New Year celebration.
