is this for real?

Do you remember the American television series, Bionic Woman?  It starred Lindsay Wagner who has great strengthened arms, enhanced legs that enables her to run faster than a speeding car and amplified hearing?  Well, somehow I believe that my MIL has inherited some of bionic woman’s abilities.  The hearing part.  I’ve noticed this not once but many times.  One day, she was in her bedroom and me & my mom were talking in the kitchen.  Believe me, she could hear us!  The kitchen is not exactly near her bedroom.  A bathroom separates the kitchen and her bedroom.  Just imagine…she could hear us talking and we weren’t loud either.  Mom was asking me if I, out of courtesy, asked my MIL if she would like to drink the soup which I had boiled.  I said I did but she didn’t drink.  My mil doesn’t eat or drink the food that I or my mom prepares.  Yes, very weird indeed but that’s a story for another day.  Ok..back to that day, she came out of the room suddenly and replied my mom.  Well I was gobsmacked!

smacked

Then recently, MIL was sitting on the sofa in the living room while me and hubs were at the dining table.  Quite a distance away actually and we were talking about auto insurance quotes, what to eat for dinner and she actually joined our conversation.  Again, I was gobsmacked.  Sometimes when we asked her questions, she cannot hear us though we were standing near but she could hear us when we are far away?   C’est bizarre.

You know what? I am going to try to whisper this time and see if she could hear us 😛   If she still can, I think perhaps ABC may be interested in a Bionic Woman spin-off………muahahahahahahahaa

It’s time for you to show your ability too, Barb. Use your high frequency sounds (no normal human can hear) to gossip, errr… communicate. Wakakaka

LOL what to do? People who are ‘chong loong’ are like that. ‘Selective hearing’, very odd, I know a few mostly older people who are like that.
