We went out for dinner last night and spotted a dog training session nearby. Ashley was ecstatic to see the dogs as she just loves them. After spending about 10 minutes to watch the training, we went to have our dinner. While there, she kept telling us that she wants a dog so that she can train it. She went on and on about how much she loves a dog and etc. I told her we’ll think about it. In the meantime, I told her she already has 2 at home (toy dogs) and she can start training them now….kakakkkakaakaka
dog training session
Right after we reached home, she asked to tie up Tyson the rottweiler and Coco the poodle and took them for walks around the house. Then she asked them to “Stand” and “Stay”.
Stand on your paws, Tyson
My poor girl. We all love dogs but I don’t want to end up taking care of it. *Sigh* I know she will be asking for a dog again and again until she’s 16 (that’s when I told her she could have one).
Last time my kids were the one who pestered me to have one.. now we have one, they are not here to take care.. so.. in the end, who will take care but the buyer herself.. :p
Looks like Ashley really loves dog… But what to do? Have to wait til she grow older…
It’s always great to have passion and compassion into something they like! Your lovely girl does, you should encourage her I reckon!
My girl too, keep asking for a dog but I think keeping a pet is a great responsibility. Beside the space, we also need to consider the amount of work involve in taking care of the animals. Think carefully first before we give in to temptation.
awwwwwwwwwwwww………….cute!!!!
LOL! You gave Ashley the ‘license’ to own a pet at 16 years old? I remember my aunt used to tell her son that, to be able to use Internet, he need his IC card first. And he was abided by the rule…
my boy oso leh..but we kenot get 1 for him as we r staying in a condo..so too bad ;-( can consider getting ashley 1 lah Barb..when she turns 11 hehe 😉
That’s a lovely TV cabinet you’ve got back there. And a nice big TV too! I want!!!
Gwen loves dogs too. She has been telling me she wants a pet dog too especially poodles.
Ashley has to wait another 10 yrs, lol!!!
Yan Yan loves cats..
How cute!!
hahahhahah..i think all kids just love pet?
Like my boys want to bring back hamster, snake, rabbit, dog, cat , fish. Now they got fishes, but i am the one have to feed and change water. 🙁
My girls love dogs too, esp Baby. Ash’s rottweiler pup looks very real eh? BTW, can Ash tell the time yet? Noticed she likes wearing watches 😀 Sher can’t tell the time yet ;(
her watch is digital and she can tell that but not from the normal clock 🙂 i’m not too worried about this i couldn’t tell the time until i was like 8 or 9 years old 🙂
I guess her two ‘dogs’ will keep her busy for the time being. My boy too been bugging me for a pet. We got him turtles and fishes. Half of them never survived the third month. That’s how bad it was. 🙁
Having a pet even at such a young age can provide your daughter some very important experiences if you ask me, enabling her to do her best in her responsibility of taking care of her pets.
Kids can do quite well in dog training too even at such ages, though complicated methods surely will not quite be possible. But as far as that goes there are many dog training discussion online that can help your daughter get started. She can also ask questions there and receive answers from experts and dog owners alike!
hehe..can’t wait for this update post on your blog when Ashley turns 16!!
I begged my parents for pets for about 5 years. My brother bought me my first hamster when I was 12. It survived and was joined by 2 guinea pigs and another hamster. When they died of some bug, my brother smuggled my first dog for me when I was 13. Now, I have 3 dogs that live with my parents while I am away working. Hahaha…so, even if your daughter is older, I guess you’ll still be stuck with the responsibility of taking care of HER pets. Kakakakakaka…Just sharing a thought 🙂
thanks for dropping by my blog. yeah, that’s the main reason why i am hesitating 🙂
