rubbish talk
Posted on Feb 09, 2012 under home | 18 CommentsSo our garbage bin was damaged recently and needed to be replaced. Hubs went out to get a new one and the next day, we were given this by the Alam Flora (solid waste management contractor) :-

Not that the solid waste management contractor found out about our damaged bin and gave us a replacement. They are distributing the green bins to every household for free
These green bins with wheels are made in Germany and can be easily lifted by the compactors for garbage disposal. This will make work a lot easier for collection by the staff/contractors. Have you got one of these already?
So for now, we have one extra bin sitting in the storage

it was all funny when the postman deliver the bin to us during the CNY (think it’s the forth day).. the poor fella went knocking on each door, but no one bother to answer… till I think something not right, and he was already shouting.. “oooi, free punya tong sampah pun tak mau ah”… and finally everyone at the neighborhood came out to collect their ‘rubbish’ bin..

Oh, got free rubbish bin. We don’t have that here yet…..
re your commenting issue in my blog, so far I didn’t receive any feedback from others. Maybe because most of them are using blogspot ID. I’ll ask around

it’s great to have a trash can like this but man, does it ever stink in the hot weather.
it does stink whether the trash can is big or small
pity the garbage collectors.

hmmm….wondering if our place will distributing it as well.
February 10th, 2012 at 4:17 pm
Does this means Alam Flora will come less often to collect, now that you folks have a bigger bin that will hold more rubbish?
February 11th, 2012 at 11:42 am
No wonder I see many houses with this bin. Actually I kind of like this bin. It looks sturdy, is so big (can put more rubbish), is tall (strays can’t reach it) and has wheels too! But I notice that not all houses have it.

FOC bins are great but if you can’t lift it.. someone else can lift it away too. Better spray your home address on the bin
