Whatever feelings you have within you are attracting your tomorrow.
Worry attracts more worry. Anxiety attracts more anxiety. Unhappiness attracts more unhappiness. Dissatisfaction attracts more dissatisfaction.
AND . . .
Joy attracts more joy. Happiness attracts more happiness. Peace attracts more peace. Gratitude attracts more gratitude. Kindness attracts more kindness. Love attracts more love.
Your job is an inside one. To change your world, all you have to do is change the way you feel inside. How easy is that?
In a few more days, we will be welcoming the Year of the Tiger. Ashley’s school will be closed for a week and so is my office. Would be nice if we could go away for a short break like perhaps take a Costa Rica vacation, huh? On New Year’s Eve, we will be going out to a restaurant for our reunion dinner with my inlaws. The following day, hubs, Ashley and I would be travelling to our hometown to celebrate the new year with my relatives. Anyone going out of town too? If yes, do drive safely.
I would like to wish my family, dear friends and readers of this blog A Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. May the Year of the Tiger brings more joy, peace and many opportunities your way.
It’s been a week since we started our new routine. This means no more going to the mall as and when I like. Also, I haven’t been out to the market in my neighbourhood to shop for groceries. Being a shopaholic, I have a bit of a withdrawal symptoms Last night was Pasar Malam (night market) in my area and I was very looking forward to going. Whilst I was there, I bought quite a number of stuff besides food. When my mom saw the things that I bought, she said I must be having withdrawal symptoms because I haven’t been shopping for days…ahaahahahhahahahaha
Toy for Ashley to play in the office
Hubs got this pack of Ultraman cards for Ashley who has been asking for this many times.
A Princess ruler
A Princess bedsheet. Yes, pink again!
As you can see, all the things are for Ashley. Nothing for me
It’s a long weekend here so I’ll be taking a short break from the blog. No..not going anywhere. Still in KL and will be hanging out with friends and family this weekend. See ya later, everyone Have a good weekend all of you
I read an interesting article in the newspaper yesterday. It is about designer paper bags in fashion-conscious Japan. The article revealed that some Japanese girls like to carry paper bags belonging to designer brands. They would keep their purse, gym clothes, plastic canister, lunch box and more in the bag and carry it around. Some even use a special brand bag for special occasion.
This sure brings back memories of my teenage years. I used to cringe when my mom handed me the pink or white plastic bags. I didn’t want to be caught carrying it. How uncool.
The ugly plastic bag
Back then there were no brands like Esprit, Gap or Benetton in Ipoh. So carrying the shopping bags of boutiques or well-known shoe shops were considered cool That’s what I thought anyway. I remember going to Singapore and shopped at Esprit. When they gave me their plastic shopping bag, I treated it like gold. I also used their shopping bag to put my stuff and go shopping with it. Crazy huh? However, I won’t iron the bag after each outing like the girl mentioned in the article …..hehehehehe. Too bad I don’t know what happened to the Esprit plastic bag now. What about you? Did you do the same when you were younger?
I heart flash mob dance. Ever since I saw the first one located at Antwerp Station, Belgium, I was hooked. I am so inspired by these dancers. I think flash mob dance is the best. I just heard about the world’s largest flash mob in Chicago yesterday. Oprah held a Kick Off Party to celebrate her 24th Season in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile with over 21,000 of her fans. What Oprah didn’t know was that when Black Eyed Pea was performing their catchy song – “I Gotta Feeling“, her dedicated fans surprised her with a synchronized dance. Very awesome, if you ask me. Oprah is right. It is the coolest thing ever! Watch it here if you haven’t.
