Happy Mother’s Day everyone

Love this illustration which I saw in Pinterest. It is so colourful.

It’s going to be a busy one for us.  Hope all of you would have a wonderful and happy weekend.

For one week, there will be no homework and traffic jam.  Woo hoo!

Last October, we attended the Japan Charity Bazaar which was held at the Prince Hotel. There were about 40 booths selling food stuff, handmade items, clothing and accessories. Proceeds from the sale are channeled to 12 charitable organisations. There was one special booth which caught my eyes.  It was selling homemade candles and recycled bags from Cambodia.   I simply adore those bags which were made using recycled cement bags.  According to the lady who sold them, these bags are sewn by Cambodian tailors from poor families and women from the shelter.

Here is my elephant purse made from recycled Siam Cement bag

Nice?  If I am not mistaken, this wallet cost RM30.  Can’t wait to use it :)

“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.”

- Groucho Marx

So happy that I’m doing the Obama dance.  You know the hip dance that President Barack Obama did when he was a guest on Ellen DeGeneres show a few years ago?  Ok, I must confess that I’ve just watched this video a few days ago on Youtube.   Pretty cool I must say!

Happy Holidays to all the kids and their parents too :)   Made any plans during this break? I have planned a few activities for Ashley, outings, travelling etc. Hopefully we can accomplish all of that.  See you next week *wink*

The weekend is finally here. Ashley’s exam is over and I feel so relieved. No need to go through the books with her anymore, at least for a few weeks :)   I think she’s going to have some stress-free school days from now on until the long school break starts.  This means some stress-free days for mommy too :)

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Have a splendid weekend everyone and see ya next week.
