How To Ensure My Child Gets Enough Nutrients

Whenever some of our relatives meet Ashley, they would comment that she is not putting on weight.  She is growing taller but not chubbier.  My concern is not so much about her weight.  I just want Ashley  to have a strong immune system.  Kids are exposed to bacteria and viruses in their daily lives.  It is  easy for them to end up sick constantly.  One of my least favourite times as a parent is when I see my child gets sick.  It is heartbreaking when our child has  fever, lethargic and lost his/her appetite.   The key to a healthy child is a strong immune system.

Besides encouraging her to eat her fruits daily,  drink plenty of water and have a good amount of rest, I have also switched her milk powder to  the new Mamil Gold Step 4 recently.  Mamil Gold growing up milk powder  has just unveiled a new formula and now contains more than 5 times DHA for developing brain, essential vitamins and minerals as well as increased IMMUNOFORCE levels

You see, a large part of the immune system lies in the gut and it is filled with good bacteria to help fight the unwelcome invaders.  Mamil Gold’s new IMMUNOFORCE is a mixture of Oligosaccharides which are like food to the good bacteria in the gut. Mamil Gold has the perfect combination of ingredients to support the child’s natural defenses.  A healthy child is a happy child.

  1. Lovely dress Ashley wear. She is very pretty.
My girl also grows taller and slimmer since few months ago. Her previous rounded belly is no more in sight. She was also on Mamil Gold all this while but recently changed to Annum (no sugar).

  2. Mummy Gwen says:

You are right. I’m more concern on Gwen’s health and not so much on gaining weight. Gwen is on the skinny side. Ashley looks adorable in the tutu dress.

ashley may look thin but most importantly, she’s healthy and eating too!If she gets overweight, next time she ‘ll blame you, hahahaha!

Can’t agreed more with you. Like your child, my children are very skinny, more like the electrical poles. They eat moderately and exercise a lot. Their immune system are good and they seldom fall sick.

I read that obesed children are more likely to suffer from diabetes and hypertension even at a young age. Skinny is ok as long as they are healthy.

I reckon balance diet and sufficient workout are equally vital! Most important keep their little hands clean before and after handling food, my 2 cents!

  7. Health Freak says:

Ashley looks so pretty in the tutu dress and it fits her just right! And oh my, she even has the matching ‘kik kok’ sandals eh? My Sherilyn loves this sort of sandals!

My two girls have officially stopped taking any milk this year. They both now take only MILO with a scoop of Fernleaf 3T milk powder.

My girl has milk, 3 cups per day. I thought Pedisure helps Avery to gain some weigh but she grows skinner and my mom has complained about it. Her immune system is improving compares to years ago and on-off she gets mild cough which recovers quite fast.

Well, being healthy matters the most 🙂

You’re right, being healthy is the first priority. My kids are now very skinny too, chubby cheeks replaced with guitar strings :-D.

    most impt is being healthy

  12. ChloeMummy says:

So pretty la, this Ashley 🙂 Kids who eat healthily don’t gain weight easily, I think. It’s over-eating and eating the “wrong food” that make kids fat. My Chloe is also tall and skinny and I’m not bothered about that all. As long as she’s healthy 🙂

  13. Ann says:

It’s true…as long as they are healthy it is ok. My son used to take Mamil but now giving him Dugro. Good that Ashley still drinks her milk.

  14. She looks good in the tutu dress.
I think our Malaysian diet is lacking in proper nutrients. Most of the food is not in the natural state and that’s where milk powder like Mamil comes in to fill the essential nutrients that our kids need.
