I started exercising by going for walks at least 3 times a week last March. I just realized that it has already been one year since I began working out consistently. Time surely flies. I used to run a few years ago but my knee started to experience some pain so I stopped. Then I went on a keto diet in 2017 and lost a considerable amount of weight. After 2 years, my weight became stagnant even though I was avoiding sugar, flour and anything that has carbs. Then the pandemic came and I became lazier while being isolated at home. Even when I was still on keto or low carb, I was putting on weight.
So last March, I decided to start exercising by going for walks. I bought myself a smart watch to keep track of the steps. The walking shoes that I have been wearing did not give me the support I need. I felt pain when I walk because of the narrowness of the shoe. Thank God hubs discovered some really great walking EVA slippers and I have been wearing them since. I have 3 different pairs in black, white and green to match my outfit. Yes, I am vain like that *chuckle*.
Walking is not only a form of exercise for me but it also helps me to relax and de-stress. Below is a summary of all the walks that I have taken since I started on March 18, 2024.
Can’t believe it that I have walked a distance of 1,199.5 km and burnt 49,509 calories. Here’s to more workout for 2025 and beyond!
