Ever since we moved to Phase 4 of the Movement Control Order and all of us have received our vaccination, especially missy, every weekend has been busy for me. Missy has skateboarding classes on Saturdays and on Sundays she would want to go outdoor. We don’t go to the malls every weekend or eat out although she wants to. I am still kind of worried about eating out as we have to remove our masks.
So after she has got her new Cruiser Yamba skateboard from Decathlon that allows her to skate easily on the road, she has been wanting to try it out. At first, I planned to walk with her to the next neighbourhood’s Family Mart while she skates this morning but because she woke up late, it was already very hot. Then hubs suggested that we go to the park nearby so missy can try to skate there. This park is usually packed with runners, walkers, yoga enthusiasts, Tai Chi practioners and cyclists. Luckily there weren’t many people when we reached at around 10.30am. So it was just nice for her to ride on her skateboard around the park.
The Yamba Cruiser is quiet on the concrete or tar road, unlike the skateboard she uses to do her training.
We spotted this monkey near the pond and it actually smiled at me when I whipped out my phone to take a photo.
After spending an hour at the park, we went to Family Mart to buy lunch and her favourite Chocolate Sofuto in a pint. Boy it was tiring for me as I went round the park with her as she skateboards. I guess we will be returning here every Sunday now.
