A Little Throwback

I was scrolling on Facebook a few days ago and I saw this. It really gave me a burst of nostalgia from my childhood days. I have completely forgotten about this craft. I remember that I enjoyed doing this cross stitch during my primary school days. Have you made this in school before?

After doing this, I learned how to do embroidery too. Unfortunately, I never learned how to use a sewing machine. In my secondary school, I was in the Commerce class instead of Home Science as I wasn’t interested in sewing. It’s funny thinking about this because I love fashion but I don’t like sewing.

Things That Make Me Happy

Spanish Moss is one of my all-time favorites. My dream garden is one that is filled with hanging green plants with big leaves and Spanish moss. So I was walking around the market a few days ago and I spotted some lovely Spanish Moss with Hanging Tillandsia Air Plant.

When I checked the price with the seller, I was taken aback. It cost only RM10 for the green air plant with Spanish Moss. The red air plant cost RM12. That’s unbelievably cheap! I quickly bought these 2.

Aren’t they cute? I got the wrong info earlier and thought that the red one is from a different species. Actually they are the same but was spray-painted red. I’m going back to get more of them later this week!

The Bag Of A Gen Z

Missy loves to buy little plushies or key chains with fluffy toy animals, and hang them on her backpack. Besides her backpack, she also has crossbody bags which are also decorated with key chains.

Before the Labubu craze began, I thought only missy is into the practice of attaching soft toys to bags because she loves them. So when the Labubu and Crying Baby craze kicked in, I began to see people hanging the toys on their bags, even designer shoulder bags. So, it’s not a fleeting trend. As a matter of fact, it has become a staple in Gen Z fashion.

This is missy with her shoulder bag that’s adorned with an eclectic mix of soft toys such as the Miffy bunny which was a gift from her uni mate, a Capybara with a knapsack from her uncle, a little cake soft toy and a hand sanitizer gift from my friend.
