Huggies Ultra Sale

Just saw the papers today that Guardian is having a sale from today until Sunday.  Huggies Ultra is selling at RM28.90.  Normal price is around RM34 to RM36.  Ashley still wear diapers when she goes to sleep and I used to buy Mamypoko until I discovered that Huggies Ultra work just as well.  Good thing is that it is also cheaper than Mamypoko during sales. If you want let your kid try it, check out Guardian today or during the weekend.

The Red Cows

Whenever we go the The Curve, Ashley never fail to visit her friends.  They are the bright red cows from Marché Mövenpick.  When she was younger, she used to be terrified of them and won’t even stand near the cows.  It is a different story now.  She would go near each of them and say Hi 😀  Since there are a few cows, she would call them ……………

Daddy Cow

Mommy Cow

and Baby Cow

Don’t know why she has this expression each time we ask her to smile for the camera *shake head*.  When Marché Mövenpick first opened their restaurant here, I was ecstatic.  The first time I visited Marché was when we were in Toronto.  I just love their food island concept and the variety of delicious food.  However, I find that the restaurant here is just not the same as when they first opened.  They have less variety and the food just doesn’t taste the same anymore.  I don’t know….maybe it’s just me 😀  Does anyone feel this way?

oh ashley……

Earlier today, I heard a message beep on my handphone. So, I went over to the cabinet where I usually place my handphone and I almost fainted when I tried to grab it.  I saw this on the cabinet and screamed my head off.

A four-legged reptile that I am so darn scared of was on the cabinet.  Guess what?  It is a fake one and is part of Ashley’s plastic animal/reptile collection *shake head*.  After I screamed and jumped, I saw Ashley standing nearby and she has that sheepish smile on her face. Yup, she purposely left the lizard there to give me a good scare.  With my heart still pounding, I asked her what was it doing there.  She said, “Don’t cry mommy, it’s only a small lizard” O.o

A close-up of the scary four-legged reptile which looks just like the real thing, don’t you think so?  ewwwwwwwwwwwww

Ashley’s collection of plastic animals/reptiles in a basket where the darn lizard should be.

Update: Just now before Ashley went to bed, I was already upstairs in my bedroom.  Hubs who was downstairs told me that Ashley purposely left 2 lizards (yes, she has 2 of those horrible reptiles) at the same place.  She knows I am terrified of them and is trying to give me another heart-attack tomorrow morning.

Organic Animal Pasta

When I was at Marks and Spencer at The Gardens last month, I saw the Animal Pasta on sale at their food department.  I bought a packet for Ashley because I know she would love having animal-shaped food in her bowl.  I think it cost rm10 for the packet.  Not too bad eh? 🙂

I remember that Rachel mentioned about animal-shaped pasta and couldn’t find any in KL.  So when I saw this, I was pretty excited too.  I quickly email her when I came back to tell her she can now get animal-shaped pasta in KL for her cutie Philip.   Oh, the other day, I found out that Heinz has come out with a similar one for kids.  If you like, you can check them out at the supermarket.

Oh my poor back :(

My back feels very tired these few days, especially the lower part. Once in a while I get this feeling but it will go away the next day. However, this time I have been feeling tired for a couple of days now.  It is at the area where the spinal block was administered when I had a c-sect. Maybe I haven’t been resting much lately or perhaps I have been sitting too long in front of the computer. I better do some stretching exercise for my back just like what Ashley loves to do from time to time 🙂

Say What?

Conversation with the hubs yesterday.  This is how it went.

H:  Ikea is having a sale now.  Do you want to go?

Me :  Err….no.  I don’t need anything and besides, there are too many things in the house already.

H:  Hmm…it’s really funny.  You also have many clothes and shoes but you are still buying new ones.

Me:  Huh?

a fairy?

When we were in Ipoh during the CNY, we visited my good friend at her new house. While I was busy chatting with my friend, Ashley had a swell time playing with my friend’s daughter. She dressed Ashley up in a fairy costume and the lil’ missy was so happy. Since she loves the costume so much, we decided to get her a set. We checked out Toys R Us and boy, was I surprised to see so many different types of fairy costumes. Both hubs and I spent quite some time to look for a set which has a wand, hairband, a pair of wings & shoes and a tutu. We finally saw a pink set and that was the cheapest one available (Thank God!).

This is the first time she wore the pink fairy costume. Happy Happy Happy.

The pink fairy singing away.

Sometimes she likes to add some accessories to her outfit.

Now, what do you call this?  A Hip-Hop Rapper Pink Fairy?

Heart Melting Moments

I have to jot this down so that I will remember this next time 🙂

Today, Ashley suddenly came up to me and wrapped her arms around me.  Then she said, “Mom, you are the best friend ever“.  She gave me a kiss on the cheeks after that.

Awwwwwww….ain’t that sweet?  I don’t know where she learnt that from but it sure melt my heart.  *sniff*

The birds at my house

I have a few hanging plants on the porch of my house. One of them is this green plant that has gone haywire.  It has tiny leaves and when they turn brown, they will fall to the ground like hay.  Drives me nuts when I have to sweep the floor.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, we saw a bird hovering around it. I managed to take a photo of the bird resting on the strings of the potted plant.  It was actually building a nest in my plant!  The bird must have like this plant a lot 🙂

A week later, I climbed up and saw this.

Two tiny eggs 🙂 How sweet.  The mother bird was seen sitting on her eggs for many hours each day.  However, each time when we go out to water the plants, it will fly away but not too far away though. The mommy bird will be standing at the gate, keeping a lookout and to make sure we don’t disturb her eggs.

Last week, my mom stood on a chair to take a look at the nest and she was greeted by 2 baby birds. The mommy bird was so busy flying back and forth searching for food for her babies. Then, my mom had a brilliant idea. She placed some cooked rice near the nest for the baby birds. When the mommy bird saw the rice, she placed some into the mouths of her babies. Ahhhhhh….how heartwarming to see that. I wonder how long it takes before the baby birds would learn how to fly and leave the nest.
