Where To Buy Affordable Branded Fashion Accessories Online Malaysia

One of the things that I can’t stop buying is accessories.  There are so many reasons to love them and they are indeed a woman’s best friend.  Accessories have the power to jazz up any boring outfit and make it fun.  They are all about making statements and sometimes wearing accessories just screams “I Am Fabulous” *chuckle*

The right accessories for the right occasion can really make an ensemble tasteful.  Since last year I hardly go to the mall, thanks to the pandemic.  However, that does not stop my love for shopping for accessories.  I have been buying them from my favorite online accessories store – Tuliz Jewelry by YM.  This online fashion jewelry store is run by Mandy and she has a huge range of authentic fashion jewelry at very affordable prices.  Mandy often brings in brands like  Banana Republic, Anne Klein, Guess, J Crew, Madewell, & Other Stories, Sugarfix by Baublebar and many more.  There are also many jewelry from high-end designer brands such Givenchy, Heidi Daus, Juicy Couture, Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Chloe Isabel, Stella and Dot, Samantha Wills and more.

Looking at Tuliz Jewelry by YM‘s FB page brings so much joy to me. All the accessories are premium quality and truly beautiful.  I wish I can buy all of them. Below are some of the earrings, necklaces and bracelets that I have been purchasing from Tuliz Jewelry by YM.

You can see that I love hoop earrings and little dangling ones whether in bling bling or pearl.

These are my necklaces and bracelets. Love anything in chains!

These are the accessories which I bought as gifts for friends.

I started buying from Mandy in 2019 and the above are my earlier purchases.  My photos do not do justice to how beautiful the accessories look.  My favourite in the above photo is the silver chain bracelet.  I don’t what brand it is but it is rather heavy, shiny and has a luxury feel to it.

I am so happy to be able to get my hands on many beautiful and high-quality accessories that are very affordable.  Now we can all buy branded accessories in Malaysia that will not cost you an arm and a leg.  Accessorises can help show off a person’s style and personality, no matter if they are bright and bold, glitzy or dainty pieces.  So are you a fan of accessories?  If you are, do check out Tuliz Jewelry by YM. Let me warn you first, you won’t be able to stop buying.

Taking The AstraZeneca Vaccine

Last Sunday, my husband went for the Astra Zeneca vaccine. This vaccine is open to residents in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor who choose to take it.  Initially, Astra Zeneca vaccine is given to Malaysian citizens together with Pfizer and Sinovac but because of its controversial risk of blood clots, many people decided not to sign up for vaccination for fear of given the AstraZeneca vaccine.  Thus, the government took this vaccine out of their mass vaccination program and open the choice those who want to take it voluntarily.  Registration for the first batch was on 2 May 2021 and hubs got the appointment on 9th May.  The vaccination was done at the World Trade Center (WTC).  Everything ran smoothly and it only took about an hour from the time he reached the WTC to the vaccination.

When he arrived at WTC, he had to register and then wait for his turn.  A doctor will assess the health by asking a few questions and see whether he is suitable to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.  After the jab, he had to wait for about 15 minutes before leaving the WTC.  This is done to make sure all is ok before he leaves and there is no side effects.

24 hours after the jab, hubs experienced some side effects like sore arm where the injection was, body ache, a bit of chill, slight fever and back ache.  After experiencing the side effects for 24 hours, he is back to normal.

The WTC vaccination hall.

The next day, it was my mother-in-law’s turn to be vaccinated at a community hall in Kepong.  She received the appointment on her MySejahtera app about 2 weeks ago.  Initially it was scheduled for 3th May but the appointment changed suddenly without any notification.  Luckily hubs checked the app and discovered that the appointment has been changed to 10th May.

That’s her waiting for her turn. She got the Pfizer vaccine.  She did not experience any serious side effects.  She just said that her arm was sore and she felt sleepy. After 24 hours, she is back to normal.

I cannot wait for my turn to arrive.  I have decided to sign up for AstraZeneca when they reopen the 2nd batch for registration.  I did not sign up earlier as I was unsure if I could take it because I am allergic to Ponstan medication.

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone

Today is Mother’s Day and we do not have anything special planned.  Actually I don’t really celebrate Mother’s Day as I believe we should appreciate mothers every day and not just dedicating one day a year to celebrate her. I don’t receive any gifts from missy or hubs on Mother’s Day and we would just go for dinner with my mother-in-law and my mom.

This year, the mood for Mother’s Day celebration is rather gloomy as our country is in its third ‘lockdown’ – Movement Control Order 3.0.  No crossing over to other districts or states, no dine-ins in restaurants and everyone should stay at home and reduce our movement.  This should have been enforced like a month ago as the positive cases have been on the increase.

Earlier today, I received a pleasant surprise.  I got  call from a delivery guy informing me that he has a package for me. When I opened it up, I saw a bunch of goodies.

These are the keto/low carb sausages, burgers and bacon from my two sisters who decided to give me a surprise.  Thank you so much!  They are from Lily’s Homemade.

Later today, I felt like eating some cakes so I bought myself 2 slices of keto cakes from SuChan Patisserie.  I got the keto lemon cheesecake and the keto almond butter cake.  Delicious!  Nothing like some keto cakes for Mother’s Day.  For dinner, we wanted to order some ribs from Down To Bones but I was told that I had to wait an hour and half for my order so I decided not to have them.  I cooked myself a simple meal while hubs tapau-ed some noodles for missy and mother-in-law.

Happy Mother’s Day To All Mommies.  Hope you all had a wonderful celebration.

Best Place To Buy Fresh Vegetables Online In Kuala Lumpur

MCO 3.0 has just begun for people residing in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.  With the number of positive cases rising every day, I am not surprised that MCO is imposed.  It is better to keep safe by staying at home and only go out when necessary.  If you are worried about going out especially to do your marketing, well fret not because you can get fresh vegetables delivered right to your doorstep.

I received my veggie box from Farm To Home Delivery recently and I just love how convenient it is to order vegetables that are super fresh.  Best of all, these vegetables are chemical and pesticide-free.  They also have carbon veggies that are planted using a highly sustainable farming method.  What is special about Farm To Home Delivery vegetables is that their quality veggies are super affordable and are pre-washed with Ozone water to clean and maintain the freshness.

I took their Premium Veggie Box plan which cost RM288 per month.  For this plan, I would get 4 free deliveries a month and each delivery is a RM72 veggie box that is worth over RM81 of vegetables.  I get to choose 15 types of vegetables from a list of 33 types of vegetables that are listed in a google form sent to me after I have confirmed the package.

This is my veggie box. For this round, I did not get some of the vegetables that I wanted like the sunflower microgreens, long beans and the Chinese cabbage as I was informed that they were not very fresh.   I appreciate their honesty in informing me instead of just packing them up and sending them to me.

Farm To Home Delivery source their produce from their partners in Cameron Highlands, Mantin as well as local and urban farmers in Kuala Lumpur. I find that their vegetables are cheaper than what I usually buy from the supermarket and they are also a lot fresher.  I just stir-fried the french beans last night and hubs commented that they are so fresh and sweet.  I didn’t get a chance to take a nice photo of the french beans dish as they were chomped down real fast.

I saw a recipe on Tik Tok recently on cooking fried oyster mushrooms with butter and garlic sauce so I decided to cook that on the day I received my veggie box.

Fresh oyster mushroom

Slice them thinly and fried with oil.  When done, dish them out and fry some chopped-up garlic and shallots with butter.   Then add the mushrooms back to the pan and mixed everything up.

Here is the Butter Garlic Oyster Mushroom dish. The mushrooms are so fresh, soft and tasty.  Everyone loved it.

What I like about the veggies from Farm To Home Delivery is they are really fresh, crisp, and clean.  Buying vegetables online has never been this convenient. Right now, Farm To Home Delivery is offering Free Delivery during MCO 3.0 with a minimum cash purchase.  To find out more, head over to their website – Farm To Home Delivery.

Currently, they are also offering a promotion for their Quarterly and 6-Month Package.  You can get FREE Chinese Herbal Powder worth up to RM1,590 when you subscribe to either one of the packages.  Here is how it works:-

  • 6 Monthly Premium Pack = RM1,530 / FREE TXY 同心圆 Package worth RM1,590

Updates On Sheldon

It has been over a week since Sheldon came home.  Boy is he keeping us busy.  I totally forgot how a 2-year-old dog would behave.  Cooper came when he was about 10 months old and he bit more than 20 pairs of slippers and shoes. He uprooted the plants, bit the cap off the valve stem on the car tyres and more.   He only settled down when he was 3 years old.   Just how do we prevent our dogs from biting things around the house?

Sheldon is at a mischievous stage and he bit 2 pairs of shoes that day.  I took off mine when I came home and left it at the door and in less than 15 minutes, he had chewed on it.  Then later, he bit hubs’ shoes that have been there for a few days.  We didn’t think he would bite it but he did.

He had climbed onto the shoe cabinet and a table and pulled down my potted plants.  He usually did all those things in the middle of the night and when we opened the door the next morning, we were greeted with surprises.

The 2 rascals looking at us from the outside.  Sheldon is very playful and kept disturbing Cooper and pushes him all the time.  So both of them will be running all over the place chasing each other.

Peace and calm when they lie down like this.

We Have A New Member In The Family

Last Sunday, we welcomed a new member into our family.  Meet Sheldon, our 2-year-old husky.

Isn’t he a cutie pie?

We adopted Sheldon from a friend’s niece who had fostered him for a year.  According to J, Sheldon was with 30 other huskies at the breeder’s place.  When she saw him, he was very malnourished and the worst amongst all the other huskies. So she took him back with her and nurse him back to health.  As she also has other dogs, she cannot keep Sheldon for long and was looking for a home for him.

When my friend, Sasha asked me if we would like to adopt a husky, we said Yes!  Who could say no to this face?  We also thought that it would be good that Cooper has a friend to keep him company as he has been very clingy lately.

Sheldon in the car, on the way home (24 April 2021)

The first 2 days were tensed as Cooper felt threatened and followed Sheldon everywhere.  Both of them growled at each other and won’t want to go near.  Things are better now.  Sheldon would follow Cooper around and tries to play with him but Cooper ignores him most of the time.  This is the same scenario when Cooper first came to us and Buffy would ignore him.   I will be sharing more photos of our new furbaby in my future posts.

Patchwork Blanket Made By Grandma

When hub’s grandma was still around she loved sewing patchwork blankets from bits and pieces of leftover fabric.  That was one of her past time and she sewed them for her children, grandchildren and relatives.  After she has passed on in the mid 90’s, her possessions were kept in her eldest daughter’s house.  The house has been sold and hub’s cousin was packing his belongings to move to a new home.  His family found a box of patchwork blankets that were made by grandma.  All these years, the blankets were untouched and they found at least 10 pieces of them.

So when they called to ask if we would like to have one for memories, we said yes without hesitation.  Hub’s cousin brought the blanket over yesterday and it is beautiful. The patchwork blanket is reversible and guess what?  Grandma sewed the date in which the blanket was made on one of the corners.  The one that we got was made in 1979!  The blanket looks so new.

So colourful.

The other side of the blanket. So much work, care and love went into making these blankets.

This is the date at the corner.  Such a precious and beautiful keepsake.

I had a similar blanket made by my grandmother using lighter fabric. I love using that because when sleeping under the fan, the blanket is really cooling. I miss my blanket and can’t remember what happened to it.

H&M Is Available On Zalora

H&M, the much-loved Spanish fashion brand is now available in Zalora.  It has chosen Zalora as its eCommerce partner in Southeast Asia and was launched on 1 April 2021.  I was surprised to see H&M when I visited Zalora app.  Missy and I love H&M very much because of its affordable and trendy fashion.

I spotted several nice Zalora X H&M outfits below:-

Accessories To Elevate Your Look For Summer 2021

Most of us are working from home right now and are likely more relaxed and comfortable when it comes to getting dressed.  We can be wearing T-shirts, leggings, shorts or jogger pants all day but when it comes to taking conference calls or zoom meetings, we have to keep up with the professionalism.

As we adapt to the new normal way of staying connected, a new fashion category has been coined recently and it is known as “Waist Up Dressing”.  This is essential for all the Zoom and Skype calls which can be the only interactions with people outside your home.  During these meetings, your top half is visible to others and many have been reaching out for those eye-catching tops to look polished and professional while remaining in PJs or shorts below.

It is time to also reach for those transformational accessories that will look polished and pulled together on screen.  Ready to wear designer, Michael Kors once described accessories as the exclamation point of a woman’s outfit. Therefore, if you are looking to ace waist up dressing,  you will find the latest jewelry trends for 2021 below from Gnoce, a leading online jewelry store with a wide range of premium quality charms, rings, necklaces, pendants and more at an affordable price.  Below are some the trending trinkets that are ideal to spruce up your office ensembles.

Name Necklace

Minimalist pieces such as the name necklace tend to withstand the test of time.  Name necklace first came into popularity in the early 90s, remember Sex and The City show?  This nameplate jewelry is popping up everywhere again and has crept into all corners of the fashion space.  Celebrities like J Lo, Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian and Beyonce were seen rocking nameplate necklaces.

Throw on a few chain necklaces with the name necklace for the layered look.

Another necklace style that has taken hold lately is the charm pendant necklace.  There is no better way to enliven your Zoom calls than to add some interest to your neck with a charm necklace over your waist up ensemble.

What’s charming about a charm necklace?  You can begin with a single charm and add more charms as time goes by.  The variety of charms available at Gnoce is infinite.  There are animals, skull, monograms, photo charm, cute cartoon character charms, stars, flowers, dinosaurs and many more.  If you are an anime fan, there is even anime jewelry available too.

Jewelry can totally lift your mood and make you instantly look and feel glamorous.  Now more than ever is the time to wear your statement jewelry more as you can mix it with your casual tops to instantly elevate your look.
