Lil’ Missy’s New Look

When I saw how cute these accessories look at Lil’ Twinkle, I couldn’t help but get one for Ashley.

Since she’s into the colour Pink, I got her a pink one with the flower design.  Here is the lil’ missy with her sweet pink bandana.

The side view. Nice? She wanted to carry Charlie when I told her that I’ll take a photo of her in the bandana 🙂

Initially I was afraid that she won’t want to wear the bandana because she is not someone who is very fond of having stuff on her head.  Ever since her hair became long and after lots of praises that she looks like a princess, she is more receptive with having hairclips on her head and tying her hair up.   The bandana is something new to her and I am really glad that she likes it a lot.  She even asked to put it on each time we go out 😀  This is one of the things that we can do when we have girls.  Well, if you have boys, no worries.  You can still use the bandana.  Check out the pic I copied from Lil’ Twinkle’s site.

Besides using it as a cool head wrap, it can be used as a funky bib or a stylish neck scarf.  Cool?  I really like this bandana because it is extremely soft, not too thick and has velcro straps which make it very easy to put on.  If you want to get one for your princess or prince, swing by Lil’ Twinkle

The Name Game

Two days ago, I was telling Ashley that her Kung Kung’s (grandpa) name is Yew Wah and she repeated after me.  I also asked her what my name and her daddy’s name are.  She could remember and say our names too.  So, yesterday, we went to visit my dad and while she was playing with him, I asked her, “Ashley, what is Kung Kung’s name?”  She answered – “GUAVA” and collapsed onto the sofa, laughing her head off  *shake head*.

Disinfecting Our House

Everyone at home has been under the weather right after the Chinese New Year.  My mother was the first one to get sick.  Then it was hubs’ turn, followed by Ashley and then me.  All of us are better now but last week, my mother has got the sniffles again.  I guess there are many germs lingering in the air and my sister suggested that I disinfect the house with some vinegar.  I tried this method before many years ago during the SARS epidemic.  So, I took half a bottle of vinegar, mixed it with some water and pour everything into my old electric kettle.  I brought the kettle to the living room and let it boil for 10 mins.  After that, I moved to the kettle to the dining area, kitchen, all the bedrooms upstairs and repeated the boiling process.

A bottle of white vinegar which costs RM3

Vinegar & water boiling in the kettle

Vinegar is nature’s magic cleanser that kills mold, bacteria and germs.  I have read somewhere that vinegar can kill 99 percent of bacteria, 82 percent of mold and 80 percent of germs (viruses).  My cousin who used to work in a restaurant in the USA said most of the restaurants practice this method to disinfect the place.  They also use vinegar to wipe the tables and clean the chairs.  Now, my whole house has the sourish vinegar smell 😀  I hope all the germs and bacteria are gone now.

poor innocent baby

When I was reading the Star newspaper this morning, I came across a piece of news that made me cry.  It was a small article and after reading it, I wanted to go to Ashley’s school and give her big hug.  Then later, my friend sent me an msn message and asked me to check out the same news as she was also devastated.  You can read more here.

What the hell is happening to this world? I hope those animals will rot in jail and in hell.  Also, what is wrong with the police?

a pet?

We spent almost the whole day at The Curve today. When we were there, my sister bought Ashley a pink heart-shaped balloon which in my opinion is really expensive – rm5.  It’s crazy just how much these fancy balloons cost these days.  Anyway, when we got home, the lil’ missy was playing with her balloon.  Then I heard her telling the balloon – “come here, let’s go this way”,  “no, don’t go there”, “come, follow me”, “walk faster, puppy“.  O_O  Yup…she treated the balloon like a puppy.  Her daddy thinks she’s really cute and asked if she wanted one as a pet and she said, “Yes”.  *faint*  He has this idea about getting a dog ever since we moved into our house last year.  l told him we are so NOT getting a puppy because I know I will end up taking care of the little mutt.   It’s best that Ashley plays with her imaginary puppy friend for now 😉

Playing with the pink balloon

you think I am ready for a puppy?

5.  Love coffee.  Must have at least a cup a day.

6.  Have a weakness for pasties and bread.

Disney World or Disney Land?

Whenever I see ads on Orlando vacations, they bring back fond memories of our trip to Disney World many years ago.  Hubs and I had a fabulous time in Florida.  Besides visiting the themeparks, we went to many factory outlets and actually shopped till we dropped.  It is our wish to bring Ashley to Disney World when she is older.  I am sure she would have a blast in the Land of Mickey Mouse, Sea World and Universal Studio.  Besides having to endure a long flight to the States, it would also cost us a bomb for the whole family’s trip because of the exchange rate.  Probably we should visit Disneyland in Hong Kong first since it is nearer and there is a special airfare going on with a certain airline.  We must really apply a passport for Ashley soon.
