Where To Buy Cheap And Delicious Keto Cakes

Recently I have found a baker who bakes really delicious Keto Rolls and Keto Cakes. Not only are they yummy, but they are also very affordable too. Kar Wan Page bakes a variety of keto rolls that taste just like normal roll cakes which I miss very much. The roll cakes are very soft and moist. They are available in mocha, chocolate, coconut, cream cheese and matcha.  She also bakes regular cakes too as well as 6″ round cakes.

I have ordered twice from her. Each roll can slice into 8 pieces.

The rolls come in a cute box too that is great for gifting.

Next time I want to try the butter cake and the Keto Strawberry Box cake. You can find out more from her Facebook Page – Kar Wan Page or place your order on this link.

Fear Of Heights

Yes, that’s me. I have this fear of sitting on a cable car, ferries wheel, crossing bridges such as overhead pedestrian bridges and hanging bridges as well as standing on top of a tall building and looking down.  I still remember the very first time I sat on a cable car in Da Nang and Thank God it was misty so I couldn’t really look out.  My friends were there to hold my hand and distract me so it was ok.  The second cable car ride was in Genting about 3 years ago.  I just sat there without turning my head to look down so it was ok too.

Recently we drove to Semenyih and visited the Sak Dato Temple.  There was a hanging bridge that connects the temple to the other hill and at first, I thought I would be ok walking on the hanging bridge. While walking out with hubs and missy, a man was shouting loudly at his daughter, telling her not to look down. That gave me anxiety and I could feel the bridge swaying with all the footsteps on it. I quickly turned back and waited for hubs and missy.

This bridge at Sak Dato temple is an instagram-worthy place.

Latest Ice Cream From Family Mart

So we were at Family Mart recently and missy spotted their latest sofuto which is the Black Cacao Chocolate Sofuto.  It is creamy, rich and intense.  Hubs and her had one each while I just looked at them enjoying it because it is not keto. Too bad they ran out of chocolate cone that day. According to missy and hubs, this is the best of all sofutos from Family Mart. It is a special edition so hopefully, it is here to stay.

Have you tried it?

Short Trip Back To Ipoh

Last Saturday, missy and I went to Ipoh for a short trip via the ETS train. We went back because my cousin was back for a holiday with her daughter and it has been 3 years since I last saw them. We took the 8.45am train and arrived at 11.30am.  Pretty long journey because the train stops at every station.

Right after we arrived, we went straight to my aunt’s house to meet everyone.  Chatted till evening and we left to check into MU Hotel.  After an hour-plus of rest, we went out for dinner with my cousins. The sumptuous 10-course dinner at a Chinese restaurant was given by my cousin and the food was super delicious.

The next morning before we checked out, I went to take a walk around Ipoh new town at around 7.30am.  It was nice to walk by myself while missy was still sleeping.  I actually planned to walk to old town from the hotel but it was getting hot.  I stopped by a coffeeshop (Restoran Tet Shin) and saw some fried turnip beancurd (sar kot fu pei) at one of the noodle stalls. I bought 16 pieces back to KL and they are delicious. I am going to buy from this stall the next time I am back.

While walking around the market area, I walked past this building and liked the old grills and windows.  This is the back of a stretch of building along Jalan Sultan Idris Shah.  These buildings have been around since I was a little kid.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we went cafe hopping to Ferment boulangerie in Canning Garden. Then after, it was lunch with my cousins again before we took the 3.30pm train back to KL. It was a short but sweet trip for me because I get to hang out with my cousins and my sister.

Keto Fried Oyster / Oh Chien

The night market in my neighbourhood is back to normal now. ‘Normal’ as in all the previous stalls that were operating before the pandemic are back. So it is business as usual now. During the Movement Control Order, only a handful of the stalls were operating and they were placed in different places.

There are also new stalls at the night market and one of them is this Fried Oyster stall (Oh Chien).  I haven’t eaten this for a while so I decided to ask the stall operator if he can fry a packet of Oh Chien for me, keto style.  Regular Oh Chien is cooked with rice flour mixed with water, egg and oysters.  The keto version is without the flour, just egg and oysters. He said he can do that for me so I ordered a packet.

First he fried the egg

Then he dished the egg out and fry the oysters.  I think it would taste better if he added the oysters in when he was frying the egg.

He put them in the plastic food container and mixed them up.  Garnished with some spring onion. Taste wise, it was pretty ok.  This packet of Keto Oyster (Oh Chien) cost RM8.

Easy Ways To Find The Best Car Loan Online

Nearly every business in the world has been affected by COVID-19. Sales dropped by more than 50% and for some companies, this figure is more.  Many companies have to adjust their payroll by reducing work hours, wages deductions, and some even laying off staff. People were left without a job or have their salary reduced.  One in four adults have trouble paying their bills and have resorted to dipping into their savings to make ends meet.

While the world is slowly opening up, it now has to face the rise of fuel prices for gas, oil and coal, due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The most affected global commodity markets in the world is the oil market in which Russia is a major force, being the world’s third largest oil produce and exporter.  Oil prices have  been skyrocketing since the Russian invasion and is straining the global oil market. This is putting the fragile global economic recovery at a greater risk.

Consumers are already starting to spend more money on gas as they are restarting their daily commute back to the office with the lifting of restrictions in many countries. One of the ways to reduce oil consumption is to go green by using more efficient vehicles. Purchasing electric vehicle can help phase out oil consumption as well as reducing green house emissions.

Car Loan Calculator

When you have worked out a price range for the vehicle and got to know what kind of loan meets your needs, you will have more control in the buying process when you pay a visit to the dealership. Besides this, there are additional calculators available such as MPG (Miles Per Gallon) that helps to forecast how much gasoline expenses that you would be spending a month or a year.  There are also many resources that you can read up to help you navigate through life’s financial journey.

While you are at this website, don’t forget to try out some fun driving games for free such as racing games, bike cruising to obstacle types. I enjoyed playing the Car Lightning Speed Game.

Lalaport, The Latest Shopping Mall In Kuala Lumpur

About 2 weekends ago, we ventured downtown to check out Lalaport BBCC, the latest shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. It opened its door in January this year and was said to house 400 stores on the 82,600 sq.m land.  It is known as the Japanese lifestyle mall with many famous Japanese stores such as Nojima (Japanese version of Harvey Norman), Nitori (Japanese version of Ikea) and Matcha Eight a premium matcha ice cream store. We passed by this store and the queue was freaking long.

What’s special about this mall is that its location used to be the infamous Pudu jail that was supposedly haunted *cricket sound*.  Missy has been saying that she wants to check out this mall because of this reason.  Well on the same night, she had a nightmare.

Anyway, many stores were not open yet and it was bummer that Don Don Donki was one of them.  Needless to say it was rather boring for us and there was nothing exciting to eat too and we ended up at the food court.  The only interesting thing we saw was this staircase outside the mall that has changing color lights that move with the music.

BookXcess is opened too and we found an Insta-worthy place to take photo.

Well, we don’t know when the rest of the shops are going to open so until then, it is not worth visiting.

Your Guide to Mattress Cleaning

Here is your guide to mattress cleaning at home as all of us know it is essential to keep your mattress clean all the time. Failing to do so can cause you to fall sick and suffer from allergies.

Mattress cleaning can be less complicated when you read about the tips and tricks below.

Firstly, one simple step is setting up a schedule to clean the mattress at home on your own. An example would be vacuuming the mattress regularly at least once a week to keep dust mites free from the surface.

Change your bedsheets and pillow covers often to avoid harmful bacteria from growing. If possible, air-drying the mattress in sunlight as it is an effective way to get rid of moisture and bad odors.

As different types of mattress material need different cleaning techniques, it is important to know what type of mattress you own.

Cleaning Latex Mattress

A latex mattress is best cleaned with mild soap and cold water if you spilled something on top. Then make sure to air dry it properly. Bear in mind to not leave it under the sun directly to avoid damaging the latex.

Foam Mattress Cleaning

You could maintain its cleanliness by just vacuuming periodically or placing encasements to protect the mattress. In case of any stains that require soap water to remove it, ensure to not put too much soap water on top as foam mattress is made up of material that absorbs moisture easily and it could take a longer time to dry off.

Stains could accumulate over time and can be stubbornly hard to remove especially if you did not clean them up immediately. Thus, it is advisable to remove the stain quickly when it occurs before the stains dried up. In order to remove stains from the mattress effectively, you should first identify the type of stains whether it is blood, wine, or others. Then treat it with the right solutions. Remember to air dry the wet areas to avoid molds from spreading.

Get a professional mattress cleaning service periodically, roughly every 6 months to carry out steam cleaning or mattress deep cleaning services depending on the type of mattress you own. This allows them to be able to clean those areas where you often forget and they can even help to remove stains.

Another reason to hire the experts is that they are the pros and they own specialized equipment that is meant for mattress cleaning. Hence, they are able to carry out the job better than you.

If you are too busy and have no time to clean your mattress, hire a professional mattress cleaning in Kuala Lumpur from OrangUtan Cleaning to assist you today.

OrangUtan Cleaning is a reputable cleaning company and has many years of experience in handling different mattress problems at a good price. Let them clean your mattress now!

Stranger Things Season 4 Premieres Today

At last, it is here!  My favorite Sci-fi thriller on Netflix – Stranger Things Season 4 is premiering today! I am not a fan of anything Sci-fi but I was hooked on Stranger Things since 2019.  I guess it has to be because the show is based on the 80s and it brings back nostalgic memories of my teenage years.

I believe Netflix will be releasing Episode 1 and Episode 2 today.  There is a total of 9 episodes in Season 4. No prize for guessing what I will be doing this weekend.  To commemorate this special day, I am wearing my one and only Stranger Things merch to work today.  Thank God for Casual Fridays.

I was over the moon to find this T-shirt at Good2u before the pandemic. I remember seeing many Stranger Things T-shirts from that store but I wasn’t a fan then so I didn’t buy any.  Then after I have completed Season 1 to Season 3, I went back to the store and scour every rack and table.  So happy that I found this. Levi’s and Pull&Bear were selling the sweatshirts then but they were too expensive.  This T-shirt cost me less than RM20.  What a steal!

She’s 17

With a blink of an eye, missy has turned 17.  Where did the time go?  We had a mini celebration at home last Saturday with her aunt and grandma.  Her aunts ordered a cake for her and I ordered Kyochon chicken for lunch.  We didn’t go out to celebrate as the actual day was on Tuesday.  So I ordered a special Donburi for her.

She told me that she had an amazing day at school which is good since she has been under some stress due to IGCSE and mid terms coming up next week.  Her friends showered her with gifts and they had a small celebration in class because they ordered a cake for her too. Then one of them even baked her a chocolate brownie.

She received a bouquet of pink roses from Aunty Annie and family

Sweet birthday cake from her aunts

Yummy rainbow cake

This is the Donburi set that I ordered from Aiokioki.  There was a discount on shipping if I order 5 sets. I got her 2 karaage chicken, teriyaki chicken, salmon and seafood fried rice.  Ashley said they are delicious.  She has been eating one a day as they only be kept in the fridge for 3 days.

This is the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi.  The food came hot and can be eaten right away.  If need to reheat, just remove the lid and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes.
